Terms and Conditions
These Terms govern your access to and use of Nurieat. By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or using the service, you agree to them.
Effective September 13, 20261. Agreement and eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract to use Nurieat. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the service. Our Privacy Policy and Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy explain how we handle information.
2. The Nurieat service
Nurieat provides general-wellness meal planning, recipes, nutrition calculations, grocery lists, and related tools. Plans are generated from the information you provide, reviewed nutrition datasets, catalog availability, and product rules. You remain responsible for deciding whether a meal, ingredient, portion, or target is appropriate for you.
We may improve, add, remove, or change features. We do not guarantee that every requested combination of targets and exclusions will produce a feasible plan or that every ingredient will be available in your location.
3. Important health and nutrition notice
Nurieat is not medical care. The service is for general informational and wellness purposes and is not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or a substitute for a physician, registered dietitian, or other qualified professional.
Nurieat is designed for generally healthy adults and its current nutrition references focus on adults ages 19–50. Do not rely on Nurieat to manage a medical condition. Talk to a qualified professional before using a plan if you are pregnant or nursing, have or may have an eating disorder, have a diagnosed condition, take medication affected by diet, have complex allergy needs, or have been advised to follow a therapeutic diet.
Nutrition values and calorie estimates are estimates. Food composition, labels, brands, preparation, and individual needs vary. Weight, body-composition, energy, sleep, mood, performance, and health outcomes are not guaranteed.
Allergies: filters reduce known catalog conflicts but cannot guarantee that a meal, packaged product, restaurant item, kitchen, or supplier is allergen-free. Check labels and preparation conditions yourself and avoid any item you are uncertain about. Seek emergency help for a suspected severe allergic reaction or other medical emergency.
4. Accounts
Provide accurate information and keep it current. You are responsible for your login credentials and activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. You may not use another person’s account without permission or create an account for someone unable to agree to these Terms.
5. Paid subscriptions, renewal, and cancellation
Paid plans renew automatically at the billing interval shown at checkout until canceled. Before purchase, Stripe Checkout displays the amount you will be charged, billing frequency, and any applicable taxes. By completing checkout, you authorize recurring charges to your selected payment method.
You may cancel at any time through “Manage subscription” in Nurieat, which opens the Stripe customer portal. Unless checkout or the portal says otherwise, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period and you keep access until then. Cancel before your next renewal date to avoid the next charge.
Except where required by law or expressly stated at purchase, fees are non-refundable and we do not provide credits for partially used billing periods. We may change future prices by giving notice required by law; a price change will apply no earlier than a future renewal. Taxes may apply.
Stripe processes payment information under its own terms and privacy policy. If payment fails, access may be limited or suspended.
6. Acceptable use
You may use Nurieat only for personal, lawful purposes. You may not:
- reverse engineer, scrape, copy, or systematically extract the service or its catalogs except where law permits;
- bypass access controls, rate limits, payment requirements, or security measures;
- upload malicious code, interfere with the service, or probe for vulnerabilities without written authorization;
- use Nurieat to provide medical care or make high-impact decisions about another person; or
- infringe intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights.
7. Content, license, and feedback
Nurieat and its software, designs, recipes, text, data compilations, and branding are owned by Nurieat or its licensors and protected by law. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the service and your generated plans for personal purposes.
You keep ownership of content you submit. You give us permission to host, process, and use it only as needed to provide, secure, and improve the service and as described in our Privacy Policy. If you send feedback, you allow us to use it without restriction or compensation, but we will not publicly identify you without permission.
8. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Nurieat is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, that a plan will meet every personal need, or that nutrition data will be perfectly complete or current. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Nurieat and its suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or opportunities arising from the service. Our total liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid Nurieat in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including rights you may have under consumer-protection law.
10. Termination and changes
You may stop using Nurieat at any time; stopping use does not itself cancel a paid subscription. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially violate these Terms, create security or legal risk, or misuse the service. We may update these Terms as the service or law changes. If a change is material, we will provide notice as required and identify a new effective date.
11. General terms
Applicable law governs these Terms without overriding consumer rights that cannot be waived. Before filing a claim, you and Nurieat agree to try in good faith for 30 days to resolve it informally by email. Nothing here prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive relief or using a small-claims process where eligible.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without our permission; we may transfer them as part of a reorganization or sale of the business. These Terms and the policies they incorporate are the entire agreement about the service.
Questions about these Terms may be sent to support@nurieat.com.
